Wedged in next to an Indian spice market on Los Feliz Boulevard, Potted is a must-see garden destination store in Los Angeles. Seven years ago, owners Annette Gutierrez and Mary Gray set out to create a space where people could find everything they need to decorate the outside with or without plants. They love what they do and it shows in the wonderful collection throughout the store.
The antithesis of the ubiquitous box store, Annette and Mary love to cultivate local artists and carry original goods not found anywhere else. They comb thrift stores to find interesting things to repurpose and or as Mary describes, “Reimagine.”
Their ingenious designs include marvelous Circle Pots, Julias Pots, Hanging Spheres and Hoop Chairs. Upcoming releases for 2012 are the Orbit and Triangle Pots.
Another fantastic store feature is the actual potting bench available for apartment dwellers lacking the space to plant at home. Not surprisingly, Potted was recently featured in Sunset Magazine. The store is a stylish garden mecca geared towards outdoor living enthusiasts far and wide.
